Governance · Trust framework

Discretion is a discipline, not a promise.

Cross-border mandates carry reputational, regulatory and competitive risk on both sides of the Atlantic. Our governance framework exists so that boards in Copenhagen, São Paulo, Mexico City or Buenos Aires can engage us with the same confidence.

01

Confidential by default

Every conversation — first call included — is covered by a mutual non-disclosure agreement. Mandates, counterparties and figures are never disclosed without written consent. Public references on this site are anonymised by design.

02

Conflicts & information barriers

Before any engagement we run a conflicts check across active and historical mandates. When sectors overlap we operate strict information barriers, separate engagement teams and segregated digital workspaces. Where a conflict cannot be cured, we decline.

03

KYC, AML & sanctions screening

All counterparties are screened against EU, OFAC, UN and UK sanctions lists, PEP databases and adverse media before engagement. Source-of-funds and ultimate beneficial ownership are verified for transactional mandates, in line with Danish AML law and FATF guidance.

04

Data protection · GDPR

Personal data is processed under GDPR as data controller in Denmark. Mandate files are stored in EU-resident, encrypted infrastructure with role-based access, audit logs and defined retention periods. Counterparty data is never used for marketing.

05

Independence & remuneration

Best Project is privately held by its partners. We accept no introducer fees, no listed-equity positions in counterparties, and no undisclosed commissions. Our remuneration model — retainer plus success fee — is disclosed in writing before mandate signature.

06

Code of conduct

Our partners and engagement teams are bound by a written code covering anti-bribery, anti-corruption, gifts & hospitality, political neutrality and ESG diligence. The code is reviewed annually and applies equally in Northern Europe and Latin America.

Aligned with

International standards

  • GDPR (Regulation EU 2016/679)

  • UN Global Compact principles

We do not publish certificates or self-issued seals. Our governance framework, conflicts log and data-processing agreement are shared under NDA on request from prospective counterparties.
